The CSRA Rodent and Lagomorph Club shelter is offering Sassy for adoption.

Sassy is a beautiful standard blue hooded doe.

She and her sister, Barbi were abandoned out side the Petco on Washington rd august 7th. They were surrendered to the RLC Sheter August 11th.

The two fully grown does were living together in a 1 foot by six inch by six inch hamster cage with rabbit food for bedding that was 50% poop by the time we picked them up.

The girls finished their quarantine on September 8, at which time Barbi went home with her new owners.

Sassy is still here, waiting for her happy ending.

She's very out going and affectionate. She doesn't seem afraid of anyone or anything, and may even make a good first pet for a gentle, even tempered child (provided that all play times are supervised, as with any pet)

Her adoption fee is non negotiable. It's set just high enough to discourage impulse adopters and people who are looking for cheap prey. Her life is worth something to me, and I want to know that her new home can at least afford to feed and care for her.
