Sophie was rescued from a high kill shelter with her 4 babies, this lovely Schnauzer mix is a sweet healthy girl who will be looking for a home when she has weaned her brood. She is housetrained, does very well with other dogs, and is a sweet tempered mom. With her new collar, Sophie has been walking a bit and she getting used to the leash. Sophie LOVES treats and will do anything for "just one more"! Sophie has a very sweet personality and is Very smart.. She is skiddish at first when meeting new people yet she is learning what it is to trust kind hands and and her foster mom's soft voice. Sophie is not a barker, she has quiet sweet spirit though she is not as reserved as she was when first rescued. Sophie now feels safe to show that she also has a more active side to her personality displaying lots of pep and that she loves attention. Sophie will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped when she has weaned her babes. Sophie will make a wonderful companion as she continues to respond to kindness and becomes more confident in herself as she builds a trusting loving relationship with "her person" in her family. Sophie will only be adopted as a valued inside family member. Watch for an update on Sophie and a page for her puppies.
